Millions of America's lowest-income renters were struggling to pay rent and make ends meet before the current coronavirus pandemic. Now, many are facing increased risks of evictions and homelessness due to job losses and reduced wages.
The House of Representatives passed the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions (HEROES) Act on May 15. The HEROES Act’s housing and homelessness provisions includes NLIHC's top priorities to ensure housing stability during and after the coronavirus pandemic for people experiencing homelessness and our lowest-income neighbors.
